Pixel Legion: Light & Shadow is a small, independently-run project. To create an account and save your progress, we store:
We do not collect your real name, email address, physical location, or any other personal information unless you choose to give it to us directly (for example, by messaging our support channel).
Like any web service, incoming requests carry your IP address. We process it only transiently, in server memory, to rate-limit abusive traffic (repeated login attempts, scripted spam) -- it is not written to your account record, not logged persistently, and not linked to your player profile. Diagnostic request logging exists in the codebase for local network troubleshooting only and is off by default in production.
The game uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember your login session and a couple of interface preferences (like whether you've dismissed the rotate-to-landscape hint). Clearing your browser data will sign you out but will not delete your account or progress.
The game's backend runs on Railway and its client is served by Cloudflare Pages -- both act purely as our infrastructure hosts (compute and content delivery), not as independent recipients of your data, and neither is used for advertising or analytics on our behalf. All traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted (HTTPS).
Passwords and recovery codes are salted and hashed (scrypt) -- never stored in plain text. Session tokens are compared using constant-time checks to resist timing attacks, and idle sessions automatically expire after 30 days. The server applies standard security headers and a restrictive cross-origin policy to reduce the game's attack surface. No system is perfectly secure, but this is treated as a real responsibility, not an afterthought.
Your account data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself at any time from Settings (gear icon) → Delete Account -- this is immediate and cannot be undone. If you'd rather we do it for you, or run into trouble with the self-service option, reach out using the contact details below.
This game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the game after a change means you accept the updated policy.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. Pixel Legion: Light & Shadow is provided as-is, free to play, by a small independent project -- treat these terms as the reasonable-use ground rules for a game built and run by a small team, not corporate legalese.
Don't use bots, automation, exploits, or bugs to gain an unfair advantage. Requests that go well beyond normal play (scripted spam, automated pull- or battle-farming) may be automatically throttled or blocked to keep the game fair and stable for everyone. Found a bug? We'd genuinely appreciate a report over quietly abusing it -- see the Contact section below or the FAQ for how to reach us.
Gold and silver are in-game currencies with no real-world cash value, earned through play. No real-money purchases exist in the game today. If they're ever introduced, these terms will be updated first and purchases will always be clearly optional.
This is an actively developed project. Features, balance, and even server availability can change as the game evolves. We'll always try to protect existing player progress across changes, but we can't guarantee the game will be available forever.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate fair play or conduct rules above. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time -- see the Privacy Policy. If you believe an action against your account was a mistake, contact us using the details below.
The game is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We're not liable for lost progress, downtime, or bugs, though we'll always do our best to fix problems and protect your saved data.

A pixel-art team battler. Recruit a roster of Lumen (light) or Umbra (dark) heroes, gear them up, build a defensive base, and fight through Adventure chapters, PvP, and Raids against other players.
Yes. Everything currently in the game is earned by playing -- there are no purchases yet.
No. Every character, weapon, and defense has an exact stat-for-stat equivalent on the other side. Your choice is entirely about which theme you want to play as -- light or dark -- never a power advantage or disadvantage.
Your side is set when you create your account and can't be changed, since your whole roster and gear are built around it. If you want to try the other faction, a second account is the way to do that.
They're the game's two currencies, earned through battles, quests, and daily rewards, and spent on leveling up characters, awakening them, and buying/upgrading gear and base defenses.
Please report it rather than exploit it. DM us on Instagram (see below) with your username and what happened, and it'll get looked at. Player progress is never intentionally wiped -- if something looks lost, it's worth reporting.
See the Privacy Policy for the full details -- short version: we store the minimum needed to run your account (username, salted/hashed password, game progress), never sell your data, don't run ad trackers, and don't collect your IP address beyond momentary abuse-prevention checks.
Yes, any time, yourself: Settings (gear icon) → Delete Account. It's immediate and permanent -- there's no undo, so make sure it's what you want first.

Yes -- it's built to work on phones in either orientation, though landscape gives the most comfortable view. You can also add it to your home screen (Share -> "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone/Safari, or the browser menu -> "Add to Home screen"/"Install app" on Android/Chrome) so it launches full-screen with its own icon, just like a regular app.
If you ever forget your password, this code is the only way back into your account -- we don't collect an email address to send a reset link to. Write it down or take a screenshot now; it will not be shown again once you close this.
